MK Wilf in Plenum: Every attempt to compare an apartheid regime with the West Bank Authority is a lie

In the Knesset Plenum, Knesset Member Einat Wilf (Ha’atzmaut) related to an address by MK Jamal Zahalka (Balad) which accused Israel of Apartheid, saying, “Every attempt to compare Israel and the West Bank to an apartheid regime is a lie, one of a long list of falsehoods.”
MK Wilf said to MK Zahalka, “If there was apartheid, you would not be able to be a Knesset Member; you could not have been elected as an MK and serve here.” She added that Israel operates in the west bank under the validity of an agreement with the PLO (The Palestinian Liberation Organization) that is recognized worldwide.
