Minister Erdan responds to the Motion of No-Confidence on the subject of continued settlement construction: “The built area of the settlements is no more than four percent of West Bank land”
Publicized: June 25, 2012 Knesset Member Hanin Zoabi (Balad) claimed in her motion that “Minister Erdan wants to turn the settlers into a model for students to emulate. In Israel, generations of students are educated about the worthiness of the occupation.” Minister Erdan added that over 90 percent of Palestinian towns refuse to connect to the sewage system, even if Israel offers to connect them for free, in order to save the surroundings from pollution. MK Massoud Ganaim (Ra’am-Ta’al) wished to congratulate the new Egyptian president and wish him that “he will continue in the path of Joseph, who was also in an Egyptian prison and, when released, entered the government.” The motion of no-confidence was presented by a delegation from the Balad, Ra’am-Ta’al and Hadash parties. The Knesset Plenum rejected the bill. 60 MKs opposed the bill, with 11 MKs supporting it. © Copyright 2013, all rights reserved to the State of Israel or to third parties as detailed in this link.
